Abstract :
A generalisation of the linear root-of-unity (LRU) filtering process is discussed. It is shown that any signal based on roots of unity, or filtered with the LRU filtering technique, will exhibit analytical properties under certain conditions. The theory is illustrated by an example using complex polyphase spreading sequences
