Abstract
A multimicroelectrode system is described in which the microelectrodes are individually magnetized and coupled to one another by the magnetic force acting on each microelectrode. This arrangement increases the mechanical strength of the fine microelectrodes, and also restricts the bending of each microelectrode wire. This Multimicroelectrode structure allows independent and parallel penetration of many fine microelectrodes within local neural tissue areas.
