Abstract :
Isolated hearts of Rana pipiens were exposed to ELF electric fields. Above threshold values of 20-30 V/m, the fields caused the heart rates to increase. Frequencies of applied fields near the natural rate of the heart (approximately 0.5 Hz) were more effective than higher frequencies.
