Abstract :
The development of current sensitive feedback amplifiers and their application to nuclear instrumentation is described and is exemplified by a non-overloading amplifier stage. Characteristics of this stage include a stage gain of 40, a loop gain of 250, a rise time of 0.2 ¿sec, and an input resistance of six ohms. Specific applications include a linear current discriminator, current to voltage converters, charge integrators and delay line shapers. A review of feedback theory and design equations is included.
