  • Abstract
    The fabrication is described and data are presented for a laser diode that incorporates a buried etched-void photonic pattern within its cavity. Side-by-side comparisons are made with laser diodes fabricated without the etched-void pattern to demonstrate the pattern´s influence on the laser diode characteristics.
