Abstract :
We present further analysis here of a novel form of bolometric detector, based on coupled microwave resonators, which may have widespread application in fields requiring sensitive measurement of the energy absorbed by the impact of particles, whether they be massive particles, photons or even phonons. We show how a very sensitive thermometer based on coupled resonators may be transformed into a bolometer and calculate the limiting sensitivity of such a device.
