Abstract :
Crackles are impulsive sounds occurring in particular pulmonary diseases. This note presents the preliminary results of a study on the acoustical characteristics of crackles, particularly in cryptogenic fibrosing alveolitis, for the purpose of determining the diagnostic effectiveness of such a merely acoustic technique.
