Abstract
An optical retiming regenerator is demonstrated using two 1.5 mu m wavelength multielectrode (ME) DFB LDs at 200 Mbit/s. The regenerator consists of an injection-locked self-pulsating ME DFB LD for timing recovery and a bistable ME DFB LD for retimed regeneration.
