Abstract :
We present a design approach to achieve enhanced electro-optic switching characteristics using micro-electro-mechanically reconfigurable metamaterial by increasing the number of movable cantilevers in metamaterial unit cell. When the number of movable cantilevers is increased from one to two, the switching contrast improved by 5 times at 0.7 THz.
