Abstract
The fundamental aspects of plasma heating in the Ion Cyclotron Range of Frequencies (ICRF) are presented, with an emphasis on heating tokamak devices. Topics include wave propagation, minority heating, ion-ion hybrid mode conversion, second harmonic heating, evolution of the ion velocity distribution, and ICRF antenna design.
