  • Abstract
    A numerical solution for a rectangular aperture in the transverse plane of rectangular-to-circular and circular-to-circular waveguide junctions is presented. A centred rectangular aperture in the transverse plane of a rectangular-to-circular waveguide junction is investigated and its susceptance is compared with that of the same aperture in a rectangular-to-square guide junction when circular and square waveguides are of the same cross-sectional area. Equivalent shunt susceptances of centred circular and square apertures of the same area in a circular waveguide are compared. Scattering at a junction with laterally displaced axes between rectangular and circular waveguides is investigated
