Abstract :
In developing countries with high inner-city population density land prices for substation sites are extremely high. This article describes the merits of the transformer-feeder-substation concept as a low-cost, minimum-land-area solution for applications where simplicity, high service continuity and minimum maintenance are also primary considerations
