Abstract :
A low cost, but powerful, data acquisition and Fourier transform system is described for use with a far-infra-red Michelson interferometer.´ A consumer-marketed PET microcomputer is interfaced to a Michelson interferometer to form a complete far-infra-red Fourier transform system. The system is configured to work in a passive mode, in which the PET simply replaces the paper tape punch and mainframe computer
