Abstract :
Wireless broadcasting is a way of data dissemination technique for spreading the information to a number of clients. To organize and access the information two methods are used for Data scheduling and Data Indexing. There are two parameters to evaluate the indexing schemes on the wireless broadcast system- Access-time and Tuning- time. Indexing technique reduces the tuning-time as well as the access time. But there is a tradeoff between the two. Many indexing techniques were developed for the wireless environment to efficiently broadcast the information. Different indexing schemes give result differently. In this paper we discussed about the most popular indexing scheme i.e. hashing. A comparative analysis of different hashing technique with their function is done for indexing the Data.
