Abstract :
A brief history of the technical problems associated with the development of compact airborne television equipment is outlined. The system provides resolution, linearity, and stability which approaches that obtained from broadcast equipment. Technical difficulties which arose after the completion of the equipment design are described. The final solution of these and other problems resulting from its installation in guided missiles are discussed. Photographs taken from the receiver screen during experimental flights are shown.
