Abstract :
A speech processor including the function of lateral inhibition was proposed to compensate for the wide current spread for an eight channel cochlear implant. Our cochlear implant system is composed of a speech processor, percutaneous connector and an eight channel electrode array made of Pt¿Ir wires.
