Abstract :
A significant amount of both qualitative and quantitative information about structures can be derived from the elastic-rigid structural coupling matrices and from the effective model inertias and masses. An easy way to develop this information from the output of finite-element programs is described. It is shown how to deal with alternative origins for the reference coordinate system. Hand calculations suffice for these computations.<>
