Abstract :
The bilinear s to z transformation is shown to be extremely useful for sensitivity analysis, dynamic range evaluation, and optimization of discrete-time filters. It is shown that, using the bilinear s-z transformation, the problems of design, sensitivity analysis, and scaling for the optimal dynamic range can be done in the s domain itself.
