Abstract :
A method to calculate the low frequency complex electric field in high voltage heterogeneous dielectric systems is proposed. The method is based on the power series method of analysis developed by R.M. Fano et al. by neglecting the electric field induced by variations of the magnetic field. The proposed method is verified by applying it to plane, cylindrical and spherical capacitors whose analytical solutions are known from the circuit theory approximation.
