Abstract
A method of graphical analysis by which it is possible to predict the performance of cathode-follower and plate-resistance-loaded, cathode-degenerative triode amplifiers is given. The method is based on data supplied by the average plate characteristic curves. Several numerical examples are given illustrating various points of the text. It is shown that the graphical method may be advantageously used in design problems requiring the selection of the correct cathode resistor for a given signal input and bias condition.
