Abstract :
A software, SunsPZ©, to extract spatially resolved electrical parameters from silicon wafers and solar cells is developed. The measurement methods are based on contactless photoluminescence imaging, hence can be applied at any stage of the solar cell fabrication process, even before junction formation. Parameters such as the implied open-circuit voltage, pseudo fill factor, local ideality factor and emitter saturation current density can be extracted and visualized with this user friendly software. This information can be then used for offline characterization, process development and troubleshooting. The software is already in use at a Tier-1 solar cell company.
