Abstract :
A Chua-type magnetization model that is capable of representing the Rayleigh relationship, after effect, and iron loss has been proposed in the literature. It has been pointed out that a model parameter representing hysteretic property depends on the movement of domain walls and is an important factor related to iron loss of soft magnetic materials. The frequency dependence, minor loop, initial magnetization, ferroresonance and transient characteristics of the Chua-type model are examined, comparing theoretical results with experimental measurements. It is confirmed that the model satisfactorily reproduces the typical magnetization characteristics observed in practice
