Abstract
A procedure for the representation of functions of a number of variables on the screen of a cathode-ray tube is developed. The procedure may be applied to any regular system of co-ordinates or any number of variables. The representation may take the form of an oblique perspective picture. The procedure consists of the following steps: 1. Setting the form of the representation. 2. Deriving the position of the spot on the cathode-ray tube as a function of its true position in space. 3. Making the indicated corrections electrically. Applications in the fields of mathematics, radar, electromagnetic theory, mechanical measurements, topographic surveying, and meteorology are described.
