Abstract
The early dynamics of light and dark adaptation in the rabbit retina are measured by the electroretinogram (ERG). The amplitudes and latencies of the a-wave and b-wave are shown in steady state and in transition between states. The results are used in a discussion of the retinal origins of the a-wave and b-wave.
