Abstract :
A novel technique is described to reshape high-speed waveforms using the Z transform technique and non-uniform transmission lines (NTLs). Circuits are implemented using five basic transmission-line elements of the same electrical length. In particular, the configurations of circuits are determined by observing the characteristic transfer function. Values of the characteristic impedances of all transmission lines are obtained through an optimisation method. Numerical and experimental results are presented to illustrate the validity of this novel approach.
