Abstract
This paper presents an alternative technique for the analysis of variability of load components by using load duration curve. The user´s activities and critical peak demand for short duration obtained from annual profile data are classified according to the frequency of electricity consumption. However, load factor of a plant depends on the control or clipping of a peak demand. Thus, the users need to identify electric device which may cause high impact on their bills. This technique enables us to solve a peak demand problem in a plant accurately. It can provide a better way for load factor improvement with the ease of application, accuracy in demand side management which decreases the peak demand in electrical system and high efficiency.
