Abstract :
This paper investigates the influence of supply, circuit and magnetic material parameters on the occurring of fundamental-mode ferroresonance in a series inductance-capacitance-resistance (LCR) circuit with a nonlinear inductor. The analysis is developed using a modeling approach, validated by experiments, which accurately describes the magnetic behavior (dynamic hysteresis and eddy currents) of the saturable inductance. The conditions leading to subharmonic ferroresonance are also investigated.
