Abstract :
The author explains how X.25-based packet switching networks, whether public or private, can be upgraded to provide a point-to-multipoint (broadcast) service. He describes the experiences of a X.25 packet switching network vendor. He first deals with broadcast service access, discussing application concerns and requirements. He then presents networking alternatives and solutions and discusses broadcast network management.<>
