Abstract :
A new, quickly converging, technique for the synthesis of the extended coupling matrix for the Chebyshev filtering function of general kind is presented. The method formulates the synthesis as a least squares problem involving the eigenvalues of the N+2 transversal coupling matrix and its principal submatrices.
