Abstract :
A new and robust hybrid technique that combines the shooting-and-bouncing-ray method and the finite-element method is presented for a fast and accurate evaluation of electromagnetic scattering by large and complex targets with cracks, gaps, cavities and microstrip patch antennas. This technique has been applied successfully to realistic three-dimensional targets with remarkable accuracy and efficiency
