Abstract
A model for the propagation of light from a CO/sub 2/ laser along hollow circular-bore dielectric waveguides is proposed. The guides may have one or more sections with fixed finite radius of curvature, and the light is linearly polarized. Comparison to experimental results shows that the improvement over previous models is very marked.<>
