Abstract :
A method of moments (MoM) approach to modeling the unshielded, twisted-pair transmission line is developed and validated. The approach described has proven capable of predicting the operational performance characteristics of the twisted-pair transmission line, and can be implemented to analyze attenuation and crosstalk under fault conditions. The model is validated for an unfaulted transmission line by comparison with measured data as well as the classical, distributed-parameter model
