Abstract :
In this paper, the effects of connection torque on S-parameters were evaluated for standard airlines with Type-N50 connectors. Length compression and diameter variations were measured for connectors tightened to a torque of 1.36 N m. The S-parameters were calculated based on a detailed model, taking into account both structural dimensions and mating surface geometry. The accuracy of the impedance measurements was improved by using S-parameters based on the model
