VLSI design training and education in the University of Cantabria within EUROCHIP

The VLSI design training program developed at the University of Cantabria is presented. The participation of this University in the EUROCHIP VLSI Design Action has meant incorporating the training in VLSI circuit design and testing into the different curricula taught in the University. This was made possible thanks to the previous experience of the Microelectronics Group in these fields. The changes made to adapt and extend the existing program for undergraduate students are described. These chip involve not only course content and proposals for practical work but also changes to laboratories to make this feasible
