Abstract
The early-time scattered field by a perfectly conducting sphere is obtained using an asymptotically compensated singularity expansion method. In this method a multiplicative function is chosen such that its product with the field quantity of interest results in an asymptotically compensated function which can be expanded without known entire functions. The original field quantity is recovered afterwards with the entire function represented by an infinite set of completely determined singularities. The time-domain response is obtained by the inverse Laplace transform of the singularity expansion series. Numerical results are presented.
