Abstract
A signal subspace method, in which the weights of the array are determined by a linear combination of the eigenvectors of signal subspace, is proposed. In the method, the degree of freedom (DOF) is reduced so as not to cancel the desired signal while preserving the optimal characteristic of the array. Hence, the proposed method improves the performance of a beam-steered array noticeably when there exist steering errors.
