Abstract
A mathematical model for in-home digital networks is presented using this model and queueing analysis, the network performance is evaluated in terms of mean response time. For typical usage scenarios, numerical results indicate that by using a large packet in asynchronous applications, better delay performance can be achieved even in the presence of full audio video stream transmission. Also, the usage of a dynamic method to reduce the network response time is proposed.
