Abstract :
The phenomenon of crosstalk between the cores of image fibres with over 10000 cores is studied experimentally. Illuminating a core of the image fibre, the crosstalk power appearing on the unilluminated cores is measured. A two-mode coupling theory is presented to describe the crosstalk.
