  • Abstract
    A simple algorithm to reduce the computational complexity of two bit transform (2BT) block motion estimation is presented. The difference between pixel intensity and the mean value is added and compared to a certain threshold value. The proposed algorithm is much faster than the conventional 2BT algorithm, while maintaining visual quality.
