Abstract :
The general opinion about automatic control of ion accelerators is described, explaining the differences between steady-state and dynamic models of a control system. Three steps describing a steady-state model are given. A new method for solving a set of nonlinear equations is introduced, and a method for searching for the optimal operating point of an ion accelerator is explained
