Tutorial papers and opinion items

We are interested in receiving tutorial manuscripts on the specifics of failure mechanisms of materials and of fabricated parts. (These manuscripts will be refereed.) The manuscript should discuss the physics, the chemistry, the metallurgy, etc. of the way things fail. We are NOT inviting tutorials on probability, statistics, and/or other mathematical procedures and concepts. The editorial staff welcomes your comments on editorials and technical papers published in this Transactions as well as on other topics of interest to Transactions readers. If you comment on an author´s work, the author will be invited to present a reply or clarification. We also encourage you to interact directly with the author before submitting a response to an article. Although we will publish controversy, we do not want to publish misunderstandings. We also encourage the submission of short opinion pieces of general interest to our readership. These will be edited for length and propriety at the discretion of the editorial staff.
