  • Abstract
This article explores why it is that we do not always succeed in achieving the goals we set ourselves, and techniques that can help. It covers understanding precisely what you want; and making sure you have the right resources available to get what you want. Beginning with an examination of motivation, it then presents the circle of excellence which is a fundamental NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) process to help people more intentionally and effectively manage their own internal states. Its purpose is to anchor and enrich states of optimal performance.
