Abstract
Business intelligence (BI) processes have increased significantly in recent years and now play a fundamental role in many organizations, in order to support strategic decisions. Data warehouse is the core technical solution to design BI platforms. An effective BI infrastructure that leverages the power of a data warehouse can deliver value by helping companies enhancing their customer experience, reducing the gap between some strategic goals and their realization in an IT business process. In this paper, the author explains the realization of a BI platform solution (called BIOP) hosted on a custom cloud system, exploiting both the advantages of a flexible and on-demand solution.
