  • Abstract
    An adaptive linear neuron (ADALINE) approach to short-term prediction with application to fade mitigation control for satellite networks is presented and compared with four other short-term prediction methods. The neural network approach was found to be able to predict the underlying attenuation process the most accurately of the five methods, with few exceptions.
