Abstract :
The application of a 2-D to 1-D transformation technique for the setting up of 2-D normal equations is discussed. The approach is a generalization of a method proposed earlier that was based on projection techniques. The relation between 1-D suboptimal LSI (least-square inverse) polynomials and 2-D LSI polynomials is also developed. As linear predictive polynomials are directly related to LSI polynomials, the method will be useful for these applications as well
