Abstract
The array is composed of a planar arrangement of coupled dielectric waveguides radiating into free space. Most of the power supplied to any of the array elements is radiated uniformly in the Brillouin zone of order zero by means of an array of coupled waveguides. This result is shown for a planar geometry satisfying the scalar wave equation.<>
