Abstract :
Outsourcing is broadly perceived to be a process dominated by larger multinationals. This article, however, explains that more and more small businesses are learning that it can bring real gains right across their organisation. It firstly details the benefits of outsourcing and then follows by examining the appraisal process a business should follow to determine if this is the best way to proceed. It concludes by discussing best practices in outsourcing and measures that should be taken to avoid problems.
