Abstract :
Employing accurate numerical methods, the optical and microwave characteristics of a polymer-based electro-optic modulator are determined. It is shown that there are two independent design parameters for obtaining velocity matching and minimising the conductor loss, respectively. Bandwidth considerations indicate that the available power will be bandwidth-limiting
