Abstract :
Exact solutions are obtained for face shear, thickness twist, and coupled thickness shear and flexural vibration modes of an isotropic elastic wedge. Some of the modes are found to exhibit the energy-trapping behavior. The results suggest the possibility of wedge resonators and are helpful for the understanding of energy trapping in plate resonators with wedge edges
