  • Abstract
    This paper reviews the evolution of the metro network architecture from TDM based transport to packet based data transmission. Based on analysis of challenges of existing packet based transportation metro network, as well as new service requirements, a wavelength-based solution is proposed. Enabling component evolution and a brief conclusion are also included.
